My journey to becoming a Coach followed an interesting path.
Starting as a Divorce Mediator and soon offering Couples and Family Mediation as well, I found that all my work had a foundation of communication which, in turn, was always supported by an understanding of ourselves and of each other. Very early on in my mediation work I used a tool called Talent Analytic Assessment. The tool was being used by my husband in his coaching work under the umbrella of Garth Rose Consulting. The tool is a self-assessment tool that sheds light on a person's behavioral style (how they show up and do what they do) and their drivers (what motivates them to show up and do what they do). It was a perfect tool for a divorce mediation! If I could help couples understand how they, and their partner communicate, the pace in which they process information, whether they are highly detailed or more creative and strategic AND also understand what they are being motivating by—whether they are highly economically driven, whether they are problem solvers, or want to help others—I can foster a container of communication that I know is essential to a successful mediation. As I built my Mediation practice, my husband began to build a software company. And I began to take over Garth Rose Consulting. First by giving feedback on the Talent Analytic Assessments to the team members in each company we worked with. And soon as an Executive and Leadership Coach. Within this business coaching bucket, even while supporting leaders in everything from hiring new employees to addressing questions about advancement and promotion, from developing strategies to supporting the growth of each employee within an organization, the underlying theme of communication and understanding was the foundation we landed on. Over and over again. Working with individuals, outside of the corporate structure, was an organic next step. I invite you to visit the Leadership Coaching and Individual Coaching pages to see if I am a match to support you at this time. Thank you. |
